ABOUTThe 2008 USA Canoe/Kayak Sprint National Championships welcomes athletes from around the United States to the Oklahoma River in downtown Oklahoma City. Elite paddlers will compete in four days of intense racing with national championships on the line. The races include 1000, 500 and 200 meter adrenaline fueled sprints. The USA Canoe/Kayak National Championship is an open event for members of USACK. Seasoned athletes will go head-to-head against the sport‘s rising stars in a regatta sure to thrill spectators of all ages. The Junior National Team Trials will also take place prior to the Championships and will determine the Junior Team that will attend the ICF Junior Pre World Regatta in Moscow in September. Masters National Championships will be held the evening of Friday, August 8 with 5k distance races, and Saturday, August 9 with 500m sprints. Admission and parking is free. |
